Different Types of Flanges

What are Flanges?
A pipe flange connects piping and components in a piping system by use of bolted connections and gaskets. Most commonly used flanges are weld neck flange, slip on flange, blind flange, socket weld flange, threaded flange and lap joint Flange. Flanges are used to connect valves, pipes, pumps and other equipment to make a pipework system. Typically flanges are welded or threaded, and two flanges are connected together by bolting them with gaskets to provide a seal that provides easy access to the piping system. These Flanges are available in various types such as slip on flanges, weld neck flanges, blind flanges, and socket weld flanges, etc. Below we have explained the various types of flanges used in the piping systems depends on their sizes other factors.

Flanges are helpful to connect pumps, valves, pipes, and other parts to form a piping system. Flanges are typically welded or thread screwed to connect. The use of flanges allows a person for maintenance and easy repair of the pipe system. Instead of taking out the whole pipe for inspection, the smaller section of the pipe can be inspected to find the fault with the help of a flange. The flange connection point allows for reinforcement of the system, as well as pipe cleaning and easy inspection.

Different Types of Flanges :

– Slip On Flanges
– Weld Neck Flanges

– Blind Flanges
– Lap Joint Flanges
– Reducing Flanges
– Threaded Flanges
– Square Flanges
– Long Neck Weld Flanges
– Weld Flange
– Loose Flanges
– High Hub Blind Flanges
– Screwed Flanges
– Plate Flanges
